Composting in Blue Earth County

Since 1992, State Law has made it illegal to dispose of yard and garden waste with regular garbage. But composting is easy - here are some options:

• Back yard composting
• Under the sink composting with red wigglers
• Community or commercial compost sites
  • If you live in a city, call your city hall to see if you have a community compost site.
  • If you live in a rural area, or your city doesn't offer a compost site, view a list of commercial sites.
