Sheriff's Office Records

Record Maintenance

The Records Division maintains records for the Blue Earth County Sheriff’s Office, Eagle Lake Police Department, Lake Crystal Police Department, Madison Lake Police Department, Mapleton Police Department, and the Minnesota River Valley Drug Task Force.

They ensure all records are processed according to MNJIS (Minnesota Justice Information Systems) requirements, the sheriff’s office procedures, and other agencies requirements.

Other duties include assisting walk-in citizens and their various requests, processing burn permits, citations, gun permits, image scanning, property and evidence, warrant entry, and data entry of all information into the in-house RMS (Records Management System) and CIBRS (Comprehensive Incident Based Reporting System).
